TDC Opens Project to Multiple Developers

September 11, 2007 – On Sept. 11, 2007 the TDC Board of Directors discussed and took action on the Preferred Developer’s Agreement between Downtown Torrington Redevelopment, LLC (Sullivan Hayes Companies) and the TDC. The Board unanimously voted to allow the contract to expire upon its termination date of December 31, 2007.

While the Board was clear that it would not be renewing the agreement, it also recognized Jed Hayes' past valuable contributions of time, ideas, money and initiative.

The Board believes the project is better suited to multiple developers. Upon completion of the Municipal Development Plan (MDP), the TDC will be actively seeking developers to implement the project.
