TDC Board to Review Preliminary Concept Plans
October 9 , 2008 – The Torrington Development Corporation (TDC) Board of Directors will meet Tuesday, October 14th to review preliminary conceptual plans developed by Milone & MacBroom. The meeting will be at 8:00 AM in the TDC office, 40 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Suite 8.
These plans are still in the conceptual stage and comments by downtown property owners, merchants and members of the public are encouraged. Following preliminary review and comment by the TDC Board, there will be a Public Informational Meeting scheduled for mid-November. The public is also encouraged to submit comments and questions to info@torringtondevelopment.org, or call the TDC office at 482-6077 for more information.
Milone & MacBroom has already completed the first phase of the Municipal Development Plan (MDP), including data collection and base mapping, analysis of existing conditions, and an updated market analysis. Current items to be completed include a land use plan, proposed improvements, administrative and financing plan. Upon its completion, the MDP will serve as an ordinance to guide future development within the Downtown district.
